The Anti-Bullying Toolkit
Workplace bullying is more common than most organizations care to admit, and more damaging than most people realize. This toolkit gives you the understanding, the evidence, and the practical tools to recognize it, prevent it, and build a culture where it simply does not belong.
Developed by Fortekigi Media OÜ and grounded in peer-reviewed Cochrane research (Gillen et al., 2017), the toolkit brings together five distinct parts in a single, beautifully written document:
Part I — The philosophical essay The Tyranny of the Ordinary explores what bullying really is, why it exists, what it costs, and what genuinely cures it, drawing on Aristotle, Nietzsche, Arendt, de Beauvoir, Camus, and Kant. Serious thinking, made readable.
Part II — The evidence A contextualised introduction to the landmark Cochrane systematic review — what the research found, what it means, and why it matters for your organisation.
Part III — The practice: Fourteen concrete exercises and assignments for individuals, teams, and organizations. Everything from the five-minute Dignity Test to a full organizational climate survey.
Part IV — A personal note Fortekigi founder Roel Arnold shares his own experience of workplace mobbing, and the insight that changed how he understood it: behavior trickles down from the top.
Part V — The interactive learning tool: A description and usage guide for the companion digital tool — ready to share with your team from day one.
This is not a policy document. It is a toolkit that people will actually read, use, and return to.
Format: PDF / digital download For: HR professionals, team leaders, managers, coaches, and anyone who wants to make their workplace genuinely safer.
Part of this toolkit: The Interactive Learning Tool
Preventing Workplace Bullying — Interactive Learning Tool
A self-contained digital learning experience that turns research on workplace bullying prevention into something your team can actually engage with — in under an hour, with no facilitator required.
Based on the Cochrane systematic review by Gillen et al. (2017), the tool is structured in four sections:
I. Learn — A clear, evidence-based introduction to what workplace bullying is, what forms it takes, and what it costs individuals and organizations. Grounded in research, written in plain language.
II. Quiz — Five knowledge questions with detailed, explanatory feedback. Not just right or wrong — each answer teaches something.
III. Scenarios — Three realistic workplace situations where you decide how to respond. A manager who crosses a line. A colleague was made invisible. An organization is choosing between prevention strategies. The feedback explains the reasoning behind the best response.
IV. Prevention toolkit — A practical reference covering the interventions that work, the warning signs to watch for, and the source research — ready to return to whenever you need it.
The tool runs in any modern browser, requires no login, and works offline once downloaded. Share it with your whole team, use it in onboarding, or build it into your staff development program.
Format: Standalone HTML file (download and open in any browser). For: Teams, HR departments, onboarding programs, and staff development.
